About Us

Senscot's electronic services can meet some of the needs of social entrepreneurs - but certain individuals benefit from face to face contact with peers.

Senscot helps in establishing and supporting Local Social Enterprise Networks across the country. These networks are set up in response to direct requests from local social enterprises, operating both geographically and thematically. They are independent and self-managing gatherings of social enterprises. The networks provide social enterprises with an opportunity to exchange information, offer mutual support and address issues of common interest.

Local Social Enterprise Networks can offer:
  • peer support group
  • resource sharing and market development
  • focal point for issues specific to the social enterprise sector
  • collective voice at a locale/regional level
Networks membership is open to
  • existing or emerging social enterprises
  • organisations that have made the decision to become a social enterprise
How they operate
  • revolving venue for each meeting
  • revolving Chair for each meeting
  • statutory bodies, funders and support agencies to attend by invite only
  • regular social events
  • Senscot will help facilitate group as required
