Social Enterprise Ceilidh 2008

The aim of the Local Social Enterprise Networks (LSENs) is to give social enterprises the chance to get together under a common banner, put faces to names and build a network of valuable contacts. Each year Senscot brings the members of the LSENs together at the Social Enterprise Ceilidh - an opportunity to bring the Networks together at a national level.

The Ceilidh is a two day event where people can gather in the iconic New Lanark Heritage Centre, itself one of Scotland's most prominent social enterprises. Apart for the Dinner Dance, ceilidh favourties include Speed Trading: An opportunity to sell products and services and practicing the art of getting your message across in 3 minutes flat! Also the Dragons’ Den: which sees five social enterprises, looking to expand or replicate their model making their pitch. The Dragons decide on a winner for the cash prize, while the audience vote for its own winner.

The Social Enterprise Ceilidh is now established in LSEN calendar and 2008 will be the 4th time we've run the event. You can get a flavour of what goes on from the prgrammes and pictures from previous year.

Visit the Virtual Networking Site which gives you to opportunity to present yourself to other people attending the Ceilidh. We hope this will enable you to make contact with others - either at or after the event.
