LEADING IN CHANGE – LEARNING PROCESS AND EVENTS SVA The Supporting Voluntary Action programme is aimed at developing those organisations involved in the developing Single Interface Partnerships. It is comprised of seven interconnecting strands covering all aspects of organisational development and change management. The strands are at various stages of development. *Leading in Change* is currently offering the opportunity to participate in a number of Learning Events in the late Summer. These are to be held at various places across Scotland and will support the CEOs and Chairs of the single interface organisations to develop and enhance their leadership and management skills. The Learning Events are residential and the work completed will lead to an accredited award. *Change Champions*:-There are now twelve Change Champions in operation across the country sharing a range of good practice. Subjects include Quality, through the PQASSO programme, BeSMARTer (Social Enterprise Support); which is a local project developing a learning & leadership support network around social enterprise and providing training for staff in social enterprise activities, Volunteer Friendly Award which is rolling out the Volunteer Friendly Award for good practice in working with volunteers across interface organisations by training local Single Interface staff and Applying Good Equalities Practice which is rolling out Mainstreaming Equalities training through local training and also a 'train the trainer model'. *Developing Organisations* - which is a range of organisational development best practice tools for Single Interfaces to use with local groups is about to pilot an Organisational Diagnostic Toolkit and it's associated back-up information and will be following this with a Common Resource Toolkit and then building a Network Consultancy Service. *Quality Matters* - now sees over seventy organisations trained and progressing through the EFQM Voluntary Sector Pathway, with five organisations having received the first award, Committed to Excellence, and others very close to this status. The *Collaboration and Connectivity* strand - which is developing ways of ensuring the organisations are more effectively networked and have access to shared services has recently contracted with Law at Work to offer a support programme for organisations around HR services. This complements the HR Library which sits on the SVA Website. Currently in development is the ICT Platform on which all the toolkits and materials from the SVA programme will sit, along with the Managing Intelligence Database. The *Managing Intelligence* database has completed it's scoping, with the help of a wide range of colleagues from the sector, and is now working with IT company Sopra on the build. There is still time to get involved in this exciting project, which has the ambition of the the database for the Third Sector in Scotland. We envisage this to be launched in Spring next year and currently have a number of organisations scheduled to work on it's development as piloters. See more info here |
