The quarterly `Brief` will aim to give news updates and background on RfB. Issue No.1 highlights the success of Unity Enterprise in winning a large catering contract for the Commonwealth Velodrome. If you any stories to share, please let us know. Interest in the Register continues to grow with 219 enterprising third sector organisations now signed up and, in the last fortnight, approaches from 8 private sector firms (including Balfour Beattie and Sir Robert McAlpine) looking to work with the social enterprise community....more Networks1st Update: Friday 16th July 2010 Dumfries and Galloway SEN contacted us this week to ask us to highlight the SVA programme ‘Leading in Change’. There are to be 4 residentials across the country to discuss and develop the Business Plans for the Single Interfaces. We know Edinburgh SEN is involved but it's unclear if any other SENs active in Single Interfaces are. However, it's good to see that the Social Enterprise Academy has won the contract to deliver these events. There are other opportunities within the SVA Programme for SENs involved in or working towards Single Interface status, Sally Dyson, SVA Programme Manager has provided us with an update on the Programme and will also attend the Network Reps meeting in September...more Networks1st Update: Friday 9th July 2010 ReadyforBusiness.org - the register of social enterprises - continues to grow with over 200 social enterprises now signed up (a large percentage of them SEN members).
