Job Role : The successful applicant will work with schools and other organisations in South Lanarkshire to identify young people with specific barriers to accessing mainstream employment related services due to the level of their support requirements establish and maintain excellent relationships with unemployed and workless clients, matching their needs and aspirations to labour market and volunteering opportunities. The successful applicant will have experience of supporting young people with additional support needs into sustainable employment, be confident about their ability to achieve demanding performance targets and be capable of contributing to the future development of our services. This challenging "hands-on" role requires someone with an innovative attitude and strong customer and/or employer focused skills. Candidates ideally will be self starters, have knowledge of SLW4U and a proven track record in successfully delivering employment support service contracts. Your desire to deliver high quality services and make a difference to people’s lives means you will thrive in a fast paced and target driven environment.

Organisation Profile : Routes to Work South plays a central role in the delivery of South Lanarkshire Council’s Strategic Skills Pipeline ‘South Lanarkshire Works 4U’ (SLW4U). We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual committed to helping clients progress into jobs, training or further education. RTWS in partnership with Clydesdale Community Initiatives have secured LEADER funding to deliver a pilot project in the rural area for 16-24 year old young people with additional support needs including mild to moderate mental ill health and learning disabilities and support them progress to sustainable independence in life and work.
