East End Endeavour Ltd

East End Endeavour, a Rival 41 yacht, has a proud heritage and in recent years has joined the historic vessels at the Glasgow River Festival. She was fitted out at Dalmarnock on the Clyde as part of the Youth Opportunities Programme in the mid-1970s and owned for many years thereafter by Glasgow City Council. Later, she was managed as a sail training vessel by the Clyde Sail Training Trust (CSST).

The current owners of East End Endeavour are Sam Paterson and Peter Aitchison, who purchased the yacht from CSST in 2005.  Sam first sailed on the East End Endeavour as a teenager from the east end of Glasgow, then years later volunteered as skipper's first mate.  He and Peter now aim to uphold East End Endeavour’s socially inclusive identity by providing accessible sailing opportunities to suit people of all abilities and backgrounds.

East End Endeavour Ltd is a company limited by guarantee; a social enterprise to enable the owners to achieve the aim of widening access to sailing by providing skippered cruises at reduced rates for community organisations in socially and economically disadvantaged areas.

East End Endeavours offers a wide range of unique skippered sailing opportunities on board the East End Endeavour for community groups, corporate organisations, sailing enthusiasts and adventurous holiday makers!

They believe that sailing opportunities should be accessible to all and aim to meet your needs where possible.  Whether you are looking for team-building opportunities, social outcomes or an escape from the city, we aim to meet your needs where possible.

They will work with you to ensure that you experience the cruise of your choice in a relaxed, informal, and challenging but safe and fun environment. You could even consider combining your cruise with other activities; for instance, more outdoor ventures like cycling and canoeing, or honing your photography skills amid the West of Scotland’s beautiful islands and coastlines.
