Crisis has a team of over eighty highly trained professional personnel with a range of specialisms including trauma and major incident, cognitive behavioural therapy, person centered counselling, and holistic therapies. These services are delivered from our Erskine and Paisley locations, in the workplace or on occasion through home visits.
Clients are referred from statutory agencies such as GPs, Social Workers and other organisations, or alternatively through self-referral.
Crisis provides counselling placements to Counsellors who are undertaking Diplomas in Counselling, many of whom continue to support us post graduation. 83% of their counsellors provide their services voluntarily.
They collaborate with a range of partners to contribute to national and international research programmes being developed to reduce and eliminate social, political and environmental threats.
Crisis is not grant funded and its specialist Training and Employee Assistance Programmes are its primary source of income.

Their Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provides more than Counselling:
Their bespoke services include Major Incident response; Management Support; Mentoring; Mediation; Managing Change; transitional Support; Reduced Cost Training and so much more uniquely relating to your business.
The Employee Assistance Programme launched 2001 with EAP customers situated across West of Scotland, Central Belt, Lothian & Fife. They range from a small charity with 6 staff & volunteers to private sector companies with up to 1900 employees. Clients include Arriva West of Scotland, Lothian Buses, Erskine Hospital, Unity Enterprise, Care Visions Scotland, a number of Housing Associations, Miller Roofing amongst others.
Most have been with Crisis for 10 years and others joined us over the years, feedback is that they have all the services they need under ‘one umbrella’ ,safe in the knowledge that their fees directly support our community based Counselling service with has provided services to approximately 18,000 clients since 2006 – with around one third of those clients being under 16 years of age.

Health, Wellbeing & Business Continuity and Specialist Training is provided by our team of 94 professionals.
