The Kirkmichael Village Shop

The Kirkmichael Village Shop became a Community Interest Company in June 2009.

Community interest companies (CIC) are a new type of limited company designed specifically for those wishing to operate for the benefit of the community rather than for the benefit of the owners of the company.

A Community Interest Company has statutory “Asset Lock” to prevent the assets and profits being distributed, except as permitted by legislation. This ensures the assets and profits are retained within the CIC for community purposes, or transferred to another asset-locked organisation, such as another CIC or charity.

Kirkmichael is situated in beautiful highland Perthshire, the very heart of Scotland.

The village shop is at your service:

• stocking a wide range of food, drink, household and general goods
• your local post office
• petrol filling station
• small cafe

If you are a resident or a holiday visitor, we can take your order in advance and make it ready for your collection.
If you need to know more about what's happening in Kirkmichael, drop us a line and we'll do our best to answer or put you in touch with someone who can.
