Cyan Clayworks has developed a purpose specific space ample enough to provide the room and equipment to realize most projects. They have 2 electric kilns, a slab roller, potters wheel, and many other tools. The building is wheelchair accessible, and there is a lift to the second floor. The studio is heated, and is part of a larger creative studio complex.
With the need to achieve a high standard, Cyan wants to provide different approaches to projects. Clay has many potential applications across craft, art and design. Whether it's formal class structure, self driven studio access, technical support, transfer application and firing, tooling for production manufacture, project support for art students, or anything else clay based, they hope to provide the right kind of service for you.
They bring a lot of experience in many aspects of studio ceramic practice, and are practicing artists with an established track record. They are used to problem solving, working through complex or challenging projects and enjoy working with others on their projects. Cyan Clayworks is here as a resource and as a technical knowledge base that can help you realise your ideas. Their approach to teaching is to provide a friendly and supportive environment, lots of hand-on assistance, small class sizes, and to encourage individual development at your own pace.
