Bodysurf Scotland

Established dance artists Karl Jay-Lewin and Deborah Jay-Lewin launched Bodysurf Scotland in 2003, inspired by the setting of Findhorn Bay and the belief that the locally based arts facilities would provide the perfect venue for which to promote dance to both a national and international audience.

Bodysurf Scotland is passionate about dance, art and the environment. With over ten years experience delivering dance activities and events, its vision is to be the international centre for dance in Scotland, providing opportunities for artists, audiences and communities alike.

From live dance performances to professional training and community workshops; audiences from across the globe join our local community in benefiting from our work.

Bodysurf’s vision is to enhance the provision of dance and movement in Moray, enriching cultural life and improving the health and well-being of our community; promote dance and movement provision in Moray, developing markets for dance locally and enhancing visitor experiences; and ensure the long term sustainability of its work through its development as a social enterprise and on-going collaboration across multiple sectors.

Bodysurf Scotland is based in the Findhorn Foundation EcoVillage Community (Moray, Scotland), known throughout the world as a major international centre of personal and spiritual transformation and sustainable living. The community itself is situated on a 2 mile long peninsula amongst beautiful beaches and woodland.

The main venue for its performances, workshops and office base is the Universal Hall. As well as an auditorium and dance studio, the Universal Hall has an organic cafe and hot tub. Click here to visit the Universal Hall website.
