It offers healthy, tasty, high quality, home grown produce created through sensitive use of the land and give training to show people better ways of using the land. We are a sustainable enterprise that creates a sustainable environment.
Our aims & objectives are to
· Supply fresh quality produce & services
· Equip the local community with practical skills, knowledge & confidence
· Increase the biodiversity of the local area
Their aims are both social and environmental at the core and are met through a holistic woodland management programme combining the needs of people and the environment.
Beechbrae Orchard is home to 60 different varieties of Fruit trees (57 apple and 3 pear). They have all been planted as a result of 3 successful grants from the Forth Valley Link as a part of the CSGN Orchard Grant Scheme. The orchard is also benefiting from the CSGN Orchard Futures Fund
helping Beechbrae develop its orchard business
Also part of their woodland management programme is Beechbrae Wood - a young 35 acre woodland that stretches across the north of most of Blackridge, West Lothian.
They have also been working hard this year at Beechbrae to plant, grow and nurture some high quality woodland produce and now have their first harvest offerings available to sell. These include their very own Blackridge Woodlamd honey and a wide range of organic potatoes – all available either via delivery or collection.
