At The Spark, their aspiration is to normalise relationship support for families in Scotland. Everyone struggles with relationships at different points in our lives and accessing support early can make all the difference.
The Spark’s relationship expertise is at the core of all its services – from counselling for couples, individuals and families, to the Relationship Helpline
, which was launched in January 2013 and is now able to deliver both online and telephone support. The Spark relationship services for children and young people help them to better understand their emotions and develop positive relationship skills.
The Spark has gone through many changes since its first centre opened in Edinburgh in 1965, including a couple of name changes. Originally established as a marriage guidance service, The Spark has changed – just as society has. With the development of new innovative relationship support services and the accessibility produced by technology, The Spark is able to deliver relationship support wherever you are in Scotland.
Having provided relationship counselling since 1965, The Spark has the expertise to make a difference - offering relationship counselling in its centres across Scotland, by telephone, or online, so that regardless of where you live in Scotland, you can easily access its relationship counselling services.
The Spark currently has 15 regional centres across Scotland to provide you with local face-to-face support wherever you are.
