Next Stage

Next Stage is a social enterprise (CIC) that delivers health and wellbeing education to schools, athletes, and organisations across Scotland.

Its mission is to increase the provision of health and wellbeing education to young people and athletes across Scotland in order to improve wellness and performance.

Its vision is to make Scotland a healthier nation by actively advocating healthy living.

Next Stage believes that they have a duty to educate their target audience on how to make healthy choices easy choices, especially from an earlier age. They do so by working in partnership with schools, sport organisations/clubs, coaches, and parents/guardians with a single aim of achieving long-term health benefits for young people – and pride themselves in delivering quality and effective workshops tailored to their audiences with the aim of making healthy choices easy choices

Targeting the 11-15 years age group, their programme entails participation in interactive sessions together with a number of physical activity ‘taster sessions’ with the objective of heightening the participants’ awareness of their all-round wellness.

Learning through health and wellbeing creates a platform for better life balance and enables children and young people to establish a pattern which will be sustained into adult life, which will help to promote the health and wellbeing of the next generation of Scottish children.

Using up-to-date scientific findings, they create workshops for young people and athletes, equipping them with knowledge they need to improve their performance whilst maintaining a balanced lifestyle to suit their chosen sport. They use anatomy models in workshops for illustration, which has proved to be highly effective, especially with younger audiences.
