LEEP Recycling Ltd

LEEP Recycling Ltd, which is part of the sustainable development charity LEEP, is a social enterprise that operates a recycling service for businesses in the Edinburgh area. LEEP Recycling aims to make recycling at work easy, convenient and cost effective, offering four different collection boxes: paper, confidential paper, cans and plastic bottles. Other office waste, including cardboard, is also collected.

Recently LEEP Recycling Ltd was awarded funding by the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) to conduct a recycling trial for small-medium enterprises in Edinburgh, with support from the Waste Aware Business programme. The 'Our Boxes Mean Business' campaign - coming to a taxi near you soon - is one of number of trials running throughout the UK that aim to help small businesses to recycle.

There are no minimum uplift requirements. Charges are calculated on a not-for-profit basis and are extremely competitive compared with other means of waste disposal. Customers are invoiced monthly, in arrears, for the amount of paper and cardboard uplifted at each collection. There is no charge for collecting aluminium cans.

Collections are available daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Frequency of collection depends on the volume of material produced by an organisation or business, and the amount of storage space available.

LEEP Recycling Ltd. also offers one-off collections for organisations who do not require a regular collection. Free collection bags are supplied.
